CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY AT COTTONOPOLIS
On Sunday 8thMarch, Cottonopolis team up with Diablesse Rum to celebrate girl power for International Women’s Day, featuring female lead creative workshops, pop-ups and cocktails, sound tracked by The Beat Boutique’s all female collective.
Cottonopolis celebrate IWD20 by teaming up with Cleo Farman, the face behind Manchester based Diablesse Rum. Alongside a day full of female-led activities – to showcase the talent of some of the young female entrepreneurs of our city – they have created a cocktail menu for the occasion which will see a percentage of the proceeds donated to The Pankhurst Trust(in connection to Women’s Aid), who work together to challenge gender inequality and help the victims of domestic violence get the help and support they need.
If you’re a regular at Cottonopolis, you’ll know that Sundays are all about the Mancunian DJ collective The Beat Boutique, providing sounds of rare soul, funk, disco and groove. From humble beginnings of hosting Manchester club nights in 2008, to soon growing an impressive following and playing amongst DJ heavyweights, The Beat Boutique bring musical passion and the most enviable vinyl collection to the Cottonopolis Sunday Social.
To celebrate International Women’s Day, these Northern Quarter residents are switching things up and inviting some of the best local female DJ’s to select the very best female power playlist all day long.
Alongside the back-to-back musical line-up will be a full day of exciting workshops hosted by Manchester based creatives – a wonderful opportunity to work alongside like-minded women, support an independent, female lead business and create something you can cherish forever:
